Associate Professor Mehmet İlker Gökçe graduated from the English Medicine Department of Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 2006. That same year, he began his specialist training at the Urology Department of Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, where he conducted research on endourology and urinary system stones. He completed his specialist thesis on "Comparison of Different Methods in the Detection of Residual Stones After Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy."
He began his compulsory service at Sorgun State Hospital in 2011 and completed his duties in 2013, becoming a lecturer at Ankara University. He continued his work in the fields of endourology, percutaneous nephrolithotomy in the supine position, and retrograde intrarenal surgery.
He currently works as an Associate Professor at Ankara University and has performed more than 3,000 stone surgeries. He has also published 112 scientific articles.
In a clinical study, İnceler Medical evaluated data from patients who underwent PNL surgery using the Lithobox and Lithobox Zero, both available at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine Hospital. The clinical study addressed the effectiveness of the aspiration method and its effectiveness in PNL surgery. Furthermore, it compared different lithotripsy methods (e.g., Holmium laser).
